By mid-morning I had learned a number of things. First I learned that with a little bit of effort I could use the toilet just fine. Then I learned that toilet paper combined with fur is a complete disaster. After that I learned that a hot shower felt even more amazing than usual. I don’t know why dogs put up such a fuss about being given a bath. But then of course I learned that after the shower I smelled like, well… a wet dog. Naturally I learned that it takes forever to blow-dry when I have to do my entire body instead of just my head. And finally I had learned that no matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t wear clothing comfortably.

It pulled and pressed against my fur in all the wrong ways. Noting I did helped. With the tail pants were out of the question entirely unless I wanted to cut a hole in the back, which I didn’t. But I had hoped to at least cover myself with an oversized t-shirt. I didn’t like my new body being exposed like this. It was bad enough that I had a weird shaped vagina now and I was just flashing it around for Alden to see, but I had eight breasts on top of that. I had breasts on my stomach! It was just too weird and I didn’t want to look at it. But after only half an hour the shirt was so aggravating I just couldn’t do it any longer.

I found myself lying on the couch with a blanket draped over me while Alden double checked the bandages covering the bite mark on his shoulder after putting his work shirt on. It was his own fault. We weren’t even twenty four hours into this and he was already making jokes at my expense? I was still mad at him after all. He on the other hand was playing it a lot cooler than I was. He even asked me if I needed anything before he left for the day, to which I just growled at him.

I wish I would have remembered the laundry I had hung up on the line the day before. I could have found a way to tell him to bring those in before he left. I had been planning to go and get them yesterday before the sun went down, but then I got sidetracked by a show on TV and forgot about it. I would have remembered after the show ended if Alden hadn’t come home and turned me into a dog.

But a few hours after he had left thunder sounded surprisingly loud in the distance. My new canine ears didn’t like that at all. They were far too sensitive for something that sudden and that loud. It was like waking up in the morning because someone placed an air horn up against your ear and let it rip. Looking out the window I could see dark clouds moving in.
